I have been creating what seems like forever taking my artwork in a bold new directions within the Pop Art movement, driven by an exuberant use of color and playful, dynamic forms.
My paintings are filled with colors and shapes that seem to burst right off the canvas... inviting you in and leaving you wanting more. My art is engaging yet simple, energized and motivating, with vibrant tones that pull you in like a vortex. Everything I create is rooted in a wildly creative, positive outlook.
My pieces reflect my native California roots and my deep passion for life. At the core of my work is a sense of optimism. I draw inspiration from cubist elements and the Pop Art movement, blending structure with spontaneity. Years of traveling the world to study art and its history have shaped my perspective and deepened my love for Modern Art, Pop Art, Cubism, and Surrealism.
These influences come together in my work, where traditional styles meet modern pop imagery, an evolution I’ve been exploring and refining for over 30 years.

It's All About Creating...
After many years of building my own art galleries and showcasing my work at major art events like the Sausalito Art Festival and Art Expo New York, I founded VinoPaint in 2015, a creative experience designed to bring people together through fun, engaging painting classes and art lessons.
I’m passionate about teaching beginner-friendly painting classes, guiding groups through step-by-step art instruction that helps them create their own unique artwork in a relaxed, social setting. These paint and sip classes, available both virtually and in-person, are designed to inspire creativity, build confidence, and connect people through art, whether you're attending with friends, coworkers, or meeting a new creative community.
I personally lead these live and online painting workshops, where you’ll learn essential techniques in an upbeat, supportive environment. But I knew I wanted to reach even more aspiring artists beyond just live events...
That’s why I developed Sonya Paz Creative, an online platform offering on-demand art courses, painting tutorials, and self-paced art lessons.
With my online painting classes, you can learn how to paint at your own pace, using your own supplies, from the comfort of your home. Whether you're a beginner or looking to expand your skills, these art courses are designed to help you grow creatively on your schedule.
